As per MNRE, 111.13 MW of grid connected solar and 7.13 MW of off-grid solar capacity were added in September 2013. This data, which was released within a week of releasing the data for August 2013(click here), shows that the total grid-interactive power reached a total of 2080 MW. This represents a minor drop in capacity addition as compared to August 2013 when it was 130 MW. Wind continued to lag behind solar for the second consecutive month and stood at 103.53 MW.
The total renewable energy installed capacity increased to 29,464 MW and represents a about 12% of the total power generation capacity of 228,721 MW.
