Tamil Nadu is among the top 3 states in India that have the highest power requirement as well as peak power deficit. According to the Central Electricity Authority (CEA), the anticipated power requirement was 92,637 Million Units(MUs) or Million kWh, whereas the availability was anticipated at 65,260 MUs.
