Setting up Solar PV Module Assembly Line

A family owned business conglomerate.
Context
The client decided to enter the solar PV manufacturing sector through PV module assembly. The scope of the work was to provide concept-to-commissioning of a PV module line.
Action
- Conducted a market landscape analysis to understand the solar growth estimate and the major drivers for the growth of the sector.
- Did a comprehensive competitor analysis
- Developed a financial model to assess the viability of the PV module line under different market scenarios
- Evaluated the different turnkey module assembly lines and shortlisted them based on technical and commercial considerations.
- Assisted the client in getting techno-commercial offers from the vendors and helped the client during negotiation.
Result
The client set up a 15 MW semi-automated PV module line which will be upgraded to a 30 MW fully-automated production line within a year.
