Solar Rooftop Programme : SECI relaxes qualifying criteria for RfS

Solar Energy Corporation of India(SECI), has notified amendments and clarifications to the Request for Selection(RfS) for the allocation of 10 MW of rooftop PV projects in 6 cities. (The details of the original RfS can be found here.) These changes are based on the pre-bid  meeting held on 21st January 2013 in New Delhi. The final date of submission has been extended to 25 February 2013.
Some highlights are given below.
a. Amendments
– Raipur/Naya Raipur has been nominated as the city from Chattisgarh State to take part in the RfS.
– The project has to be completed within 6 months from the date of issue of sanction letter.
-Eligibility criteria related to experience reduced to minimum 6 months from the earlier minimum 2 years.
– Size of the project/grid connectivity – One project can have many rooftops and each rooftop system can be connected to the grid using separate meters(Earlier, grid connectivity was permitted only at one point for the entire project, irrespective of the number of rooftops).
– SECI Charges – 3% of the 70% of the project cost to be submitted as SECI charges(Earlier, it was 3% of total(100%) project cost).
