With the state electricity regulators continuing to be unwilling or unable to enforce RPOs, the REC trading for July 2014 continued to be anemic. The MNRE and the regulators conducted a meeting earlier this month about ways to revive the RPO and REC mechanism, but other than adding one more complexity by the name Renewable Generation Obligation(RGO), nothing concrete seems to have come out of it.(Read an article from Economic Times here).
