The financial bids for allocation of 100 MW of solar projects in Madhya Pradesh were opened yesterday. 24 companies bid 38 projects for a total of 676 MW, and 6 companies walked away with the 100 MW of allocation. The winning bidders include Renew Power(bid for 50 MW, likely to get 30 MW), Today Homes and Infrastructure(20 MW) and Focal Energy(20 MW). Today Homes had won 50 MW allocation in the JNNSM Phase 2.
The lowest price is reported to be Rs. 6.47/kWh by Himgiri Energy for a 5 MW project and highest winning bid was Rs. 6.97/kWh.
The unsuccessful bidders include some of the big names of the industry like Sun Edison, ACME, Azure, Solairedirect, IL&FS, Essel Infra and Welspun, among others. The bid details are as follows.
